What is this?

Zoomery Summitr is basicially a flickr for the MVP Summit participants. We would love to see MVPs browse and share images they took on the MVP Summit!

How do I browse the images?

First you are presented with a tag cloud. Choose any tag you like. The images for that tag are shown in a deep zoom interface. You can use the mouse to pan, the mouse wheel or the icons at the bottom to zoom in or out. There is also a slideshow that you can start.
If you zoom in on an image, you will see the details of that image on the right. Click on the user's name to see all of his / her photos.

Love it, how can I upload my own images?

First, you need to register. Then simply click on upload and select the images to be uploaded. You need to give a title and some tags for your image. Tags can be separated by comma.
Later, you can edit the tags or title for your own images in the right details pane. You can even delete your photo if you do not want it to be on the site any more.
Please note that the images you upload are visible to anybody in the world! Do not upload photos with NDA material!

Yes, definitely, altough I'd prefer the handshaking... just send a mail or to andras.velvart@response.hu, and I'll do my best to meet up! In case you have a good facial memory and an exceptional awareness, you can also find me by looking for the face you see on the left.

Tell me some technical details!

Gladly! Summitr is written in Silverlight, and on the server side it uses ASP.Net. Thanks to the power of Silverlight's built-in .net runtime, image slicing is done on the client side thus reliving the server from this resource intensive task and allowing high scalability.
Images are displayed with Silverlight's excellent Deep Zoom technology from Seadragon labs. Our unique server side technology allows for tens of thousands of images to be uploaded and filtered in any way you wish, thus creating a zoomable scene on the fly.

Zoomery is the name of our tool and framework that helps automatically creating Deep Zoom scenes from any digital data. for more samples, including a C# browser, a file system browser with documents, please visit the Zoomery homepage.
